Today, January 11, 2016, the Flight Attendants of Flight Services International / Atlas Air voted to form a union under the banner of the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO (TWU). Congratulations to all of us for taking this initial action to securing our future.
After the votes were tallied, we chose TWU with 61% percent of the vote. Now that the votes have been counted, it’s critical that we come together as one unit so we can prepare to bargain with company management from a position of strength and unity. To that end, we will be conducting a survey to establish priorities for upcoming contract negotiations. Regardless of how you voted, we are all one now, so please take advantage of your representation and take the time to fill out the survey and make your voice heard.
While we should take a moment to enjoy this success, the real work is about to begin. If you are interested in participating in our new union and working together to build our foundation, please fill out this form, and we’ll be sure to get back to you with ways you can participate.
